Artists We Love: Melisa Brown

Melisa Brown is an abstract artist based in Fort Mill, SC and Charlotte, NC who specializes in large-scale fluid art. As a Chemist by day and an Artist by passion, she bridges the gap between technical introvert and expressive eccentric. Melisa discovered her gift for art as early as 8 years old and decided to professionally pursue her art practice in 2017. Her style is modern and abstract, focusing on jewel tones, free-flowing collisions, curated “cells,” and accents of gold. The movement in her paintings represent the unexpected twists and turns of life while the gold represents light in a world that can oftentimes seem dim. Melisa’s paintings reflect the inner ability to let things flow and let things go - simply for the reason that they are heavy.
