The Sisterhood Experience: Launch Recap!
The sisters were in the building on October 3rd for the launch of The Colored Girl’s intimate, dynamic networking event; The Sisterhood.
This past week we held an amazing event for Colored Girls in NYC. Creative, professional & entrepreneurial TRIBE members connected, mixed & mingled for the first ever relationship building experience specifically for women of color this past week in NYC. Ladies from all over the tri-state area showed up for an evening of fun, great conversation, sharing of resources and more. Staying true to our mission to uplift, unite and empower women we came together in an intimate setting to relax, relate, release & share with one another in in celebratory fashion, proving that sisterhood is so very real. Even amongst women who come together for the very first time!
The TRIBE enjoyed a copious & flowing open bar, along with nutritious and delicious cuisine by Amor AUnique’s @eatinncheat; and even got surprise goodie boxes filled with treats every girl loves! Our fabulous MC, Alechia Reese @alechiareese showed up in full sophisticrat style and slayed us with her witty commentary, fun vibes, and valuable insights. The Colored Girl founders told the story of how sisterhood is such a huge value and driving force in their lives & business. Followed by Q&A and an open forum conversation with the audience.
The night ended with dancing, more photos with new friends, lots of social handles and contact information being shared and departing embraces amongst the tribe. The event was not only impactful & magical; but as the women left with positive parting words, the vibrations in the room seemed warmer than before. Proof that there is one thing stronger than magic: SISTERHOOD!
