A diverse group of women of color (intergenerational and from an array of industries, and cultural backgrounds) gathered to build sisterhood, as they shared their stories and resources. The evening started with a quick exercise to get to know your sisters, followed by delicious eats and treats (courtesy of our partners at Nana Bella & Eat Inn Cheat), and an amazing panel that took us deep into the heart of what it means to be impactful on an everyday level. In true Friendsgiving style, there was also a food & clothing drive with attendees bringing items to donate to those in need.

One of the evening’s highlights was the dynamic panel discussion (Paying It Forward & Giving Back in The Workplace & Beyond) with some amazing women from the TCG network - Sheereen Miller- Russell of OWN, Erika Munro Kennerly of Google and Tiffany R. Warren of Adcolor & Omnicom. We sat down and talked with them about what it means to actually give back, and unraveled the idea that philanthropy is about just writing checks for charity, and reserved for the super-wealthy…and was nothing less than stellar! The chemistry between the panelists was incredible and so awesome to witness.

These ladies dropped so many gems & in true sisterhood fashion openly shared personal stories as examples, leaving the room inspired.. driving the point home about how philanthropy starts with each of us - being a resource to self & others every day in our personal & professional lives. We also delved into just how collaboration (over competition) & building tribe via sisterhood, is also an act of philanthropy and even talked practically about important topics like lateral (or peer to peer) mentorship and how we can each support one another more deeply.

Such a great discussion…

The chemistry was off the charts!

Thank you for sharing your stories & perspective.

The evening was magical, vibrations were high and each woman left with new connections & motivation to enrich her life. But what makes this truly special is the willingness of each woman to show up openly, as her whole self, and authentically amplify her own magic with that of other amazing women. All in order to create a worldwide sisterhood & sharing of resources to have greater positive impact, together. WE ARE SO HERE FOR THIS!
